Most people on the computer don�t mean to become pirates. They just want to try a program out first. I�m talking about with no restrictions or limitations; sometimes they only use the program a few times a month. Better safe when spending potentially hundreds of dollars.

You don�t have to break the law to get the soft ware that you need! Read on to find out how.

You need at least 10 gigs free on hard drive; to install Ubuntu, a Linux base Operating system.

Ubuntu has soft ware repositorys on the Internet, they are connected to the add and remove programs interface in the menu. Just type the name of the program that you want into the search field and bingo, you get a list of soft ware to pick from.

You can get rid of them just as easy. All you have to do is un-check the box next to the un-wanted program.

I can�t believe all the free soft ware on the Linux based Operating system; including the Operatingsystem! You should be able to find anything that you can imagine, I mean anything!So give it a try ( this way you don�t have to be a pirate ). http://www.ubuntu.com

Now youcan take Firefox and a bunch of other essential soft where with you.Virus scan a friends computer, make a graphic with the Gimp, use OpenOffice. Start Up Faster

Auto running programs are the biggest reason for slow computers. So the first thing that I like to do is to take a look at what is starting up when you turn your computer on.

This is a handy program that I like to use. It�s called Autoruns, and it�s free. You can find it here on the Microsoft Tech Net site. It�s there some where. You can find all kinds of good free utilities on that site. But all you need for now is the auto run program.

After you down load that it�s time to get rid of some junk! Before you run autoruns, we are going to go through your programs and get rid of the useless ones.You know, all the trial stuff thats expired! All the games you never play. All that kind of stuff.

Ok, you got rid of all that junk and you restarted your computer. Now run autoruns. Take a look at whats starting up when you turn your computer on. Most of it is needed. But a bunch isn�t. Just uncheck the box next to what you don�t want to start up. The programs that you stop will start if they are needed.

Your computer should run much faster now. If it doesn�t, get a new one.

Dell is great!
I needed some more RAM, so I went to the Dell web site. I found what I needed really fast. I just searched using my my computer service tag number. There it was, beautiful memory! Two gigabytes for two hundred bucks! Sold I said and quickly punched in my credit card number. That was about ten in the morning, at around three the next afternoon it was in my front door! I don't know how long it was there because I wasn't expecting it so soon.
