Start Up Faster Auto running programs are the biggest reason for slow computers. So the first thing that I like to do is to take a look at what is starting up when you turn your computer on. This is a handy program that I like to use. It’s called Autoruns, and it’s free. You can find it here on the Microsoft Tech Net site. It’s there some where. You can find all kinds of good free utilities on that site. But all you need for now is the auto run program. After you down load that it’s time to get rid of some junk! Before you run autoruns, we are going to go through your programs and get rid of the useless ones.
You know, all the trial stuff thats expired! All the games you never play. All that kind of stuff. Ok, you got rid of all that junk and you restarted your computer.
Now run autoruns. Take a look at whats starting up when you turn your computer on. Most of it is needed. But a bunch isn’t. Just uncheck the box next to what you don’t want to start up. The programs that you stop will start if they are needed. Your computer should run much faster now. If it doesn’t, get a new one. Thanks for stopping by.
Anti Spy ware programs for freeAs
far as free Anti Spy ware programs go; these are a few of the best free
ones that I have used.Every body likes Spybot search and destroy. It's
an all time favorite!SpybotsHome
page. Another really good one that I use all the time is;AdAware
Personal SE.Microsoft'sWindows
Defender
is a free program that helps protect your computer against pop-ups,
slow performance, and security threats caused by spyware and other
unwanted software. It features Real-Time Protection and a monitoring
system that recommends actions against spyware when it's found.
Mal
Ware is another kind of nasty that likes to screw up things on you're
machine. Other wise known as or called Trojans. These like to down load
things into temporary folders, and any other directory it chooses;
things like .dlls and installers.Down loaders will down load on every
boot. The installers will install on every boot. Thats why you will see
the same things show up, scan after scan.Even after you have
removedthem. Try this one out for piece of mind. Mal
Ware destroyer by Em Co.
I
guess the bottom line is;you need more than one scanner. Just don't run
them at the same time. It's fun to see what you can catch after a trip
around the Internet. Have fun and stay safe.

I'm glad to say that I've found another great free product!
It's a sound editor called Audacity.
It works great and is really super easy to use.
Just try it out and see for your self.
You can get 80 or so plug ins for it, they make the effects.
Every thing is free. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
It will also be listed on " the Geek Site".

This is probably the most simple tutorial out there on posting with HTML and BB code.
It will make posting in forums and leaving comments on blogs fun. It also brings a sense of confidence to your web surfing.

I think the number one reason that I started using Firefox,
was for a feeling of independence. I felt like a rebel not using Microsoft stuff. It felt good exploring new territory.
I had tried out several other browsers before finding Firefox. They were kind of fun and sorta fancy, but not as effective as Firefox. I started getting into web development about the same time that I started using Firefox. They go hand in hand in this category.
Getting “plug-ins” and “extending Firefox” is probably the easiest thing to do. Remember that the more extensions you install, will possibly have an effect on your browsers characteristics and performance. Don’t worry though, they are easy to un-install.
I joined this community rite off the bat (Spread Firefox).
When you think about it; we are a large community (the Internet). But when you look at it closer; we are all just small fish in a big river. Internet Explorer taught most of us how to swim; hey, it’s a long swim but were feeling no pain. It’s interesting to watch how it grows.
Thanks for stopping by: (SW)

Firefox is a superior web browser designed to browse
the
Internet faster and safer
Now Google has teamed up with FireFox to offer the
Google
search tool included with the Firefox web browser
It's fast and easy to download. Just click on the
button on the left side of this page to get started:
I've used FireFox for a while now and I'm very happy
with it.
I have noticed that it doesn't crash as much at Internet
Explorer used to and I surf the web much faster. A feature I really
like about FireFox is how easy it is to customize your browser and add
cool new features to it.
After You've Downloaded FireFox:
- There are literally hundreds of extensions available.
You
can get them by clicking this link
- You can also customize how your browser looks and
acts with
Themes. Themes are sometimes known as browser "skins". You can get them
by clicking this browser theme link.
- You can also get all the common Plugins like Flash,
Adobe
Acrobat, Apple QuickTime by clicking this link to Browser Plugins.
- Here is a link to a basic tutorial on how to use
FireFox.
It is at WikiBooks.com and you can get it by clicking this FireFox
tutorial link.
