Pirate Code?

Pirate Code? I don’t think that kind of honor exists anymore, at least not on Wall Street.

There was “honor among thieves” and pirates held to their “code of ethics” mostly in fear of the consequences. After all they were pirates and the punishments for violation of the “Pirates Code” were severe: death, being marooned on sand bar islands, cast out in small row boats alone, eyes plucked out, tongues cut off and other equally horrid penalties.

Wall Street needs penalties

Weather Control?

Weather Control, I think so in regards to the Florida storm. It is just sitting there; very unpredictable. Could it be the KGB or CIA?

I know the Chinese and Russians advertise weather control. Why not?

Thats all I’ve got for now; I will post more as my investigation probes deeper into this serious matter.

Safe on the Internet

IMPORTANT INFO

I thought that this information was important enough to post again.

Google has implemented a new feature which enables you to type a telephone number into the search bar and hit enter and you will be given the person’s name and address.
If you then hit MapQuest, you will get a map to the person’s house. Everyone should be aware of this! It’s a nationwide reverse telephone book.

If a child gives out his/her phone number, someone can now look it up to find out where he/she lives. The safety issues are obvious, and alarming.

Note that you can have your phone number removed or blocked. I tried my number and it came up along with the mapquest and directions straight to our house. I did fill out the removal form for myself, and encourage all of you to do the same. Quite scary.

Please look up your own number.

In order to test whether your phone number is mapped, go to: google (http://www.google.com/) Type your phone number in the search bar (i.e. 555-555-1212) and hit enter.

If you want to BLOCK Google from divulging your private information, simply click on your telephone number and then click on the Removal Form. Removal takes 48-hours.

Check your own number and although this may not apply to you if you have an unlisted number or cell phone as primary contact, but you may know someone who needs to know this.

Please share this information with friends and family

WHEN CHECKING YOUR NUMBER DONT PUT IN THE PREFIX 1— ONLY YOUR AREA CODE AND TELEPHONE NO…

Cat Crazy
by Alisyn Camerota http://greenroom.blogs.foxnews.com/

What do you make of the story of the guy who was watching his friend’s cat and ended up getting tossed in the psych ward? When the cat got trapped in a wall, Chris Muth tried everything to get the cat back. He ended up being labeled crazy and being hauled off to a psych ward for SIX DAYS. I’ll share more soon. Thoughts?

Good Free Anti Virus

Good Free Anti Virus and ant spy ware programs

As far as free Anti Spy ware (virus) programs go; these are a few of the best free
ones that I have used.

I use Avast on my own computer. Avast anti-Virus
http://www.avast.com/index.html . I like this one, just because it is easy to use.

Another popular one is AVG; http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1/lng/us/tpl/v5 . It’s really important to protect your computer with Anti Virus
So you mine as well do it for Free!

I use these programs my self.
I like them, you can just uninstall it if you don’t want it.

As far as free Anti Spy ware programs go; these are a few of the best free ones that I have used.
Every body likes Spybot search and destroy. It’s an all time favorite!Spybots Home page.
Another really good one that I use all the time is; AdAware Personal SE.

Microsoft’s Windows Defender is a free program that helps protect your computer against pop-ups, slow performance, and security threats caused by spy ware and other unwanted software. It features Real-Time Protection and a monitoring system that recommends actions against spy ware when it’s found.

Mal Ware is another kind of nasty that likes to screw up things on you’re machine. Other wise referred to as Trojans. These like to down load things into temporary folders, and any other directory it chooses.
Things like .dlls and installers.Down loaders will down load on every boot then the installers will install on every boot. Thats why you will see the same things show up, scan after scan. Even after that you have to remove them.
Try this one out for piece of mind. Mal Ware destroyer by Em Co.

I guess the bottom line is; you need more than one scanner. Just don’t run them at the same time. It’s fun to see what you can catch after a trip around the Internet. Have fun and stay safe.

I forgot what I was going to post about!
As long as I am here; I will start this post by trying to think of something to post about.

Yep… Oh… Lets start here, now. Starting to post now…

Fix you're own computer, kinda.

It’s not as complicated as it sounds.Optimizing your own computer could save you some cash. Optimizing will also help you get familiar with it. I like to feel comfortable on a new computer before I start depending on it, and this is a good way to see how things work.

Don’t get me wrong, I think the Geek Squad and Fire Dog have their place. I just believe it’s better to spend your own money the way you want, not the way you are told.

First off we will need to get a start up program manager installed. It’s easy and will make a big difference in how long your computer takes to start up.
Get it at this site, Microsoft Tech Net site, down load and install it. Take a look at what you have starting up. Then come back to finish the rest of the article.

It’s really easy to do, just un check the box to the left of what you don’t want to run, thats all there is to it. Google the things that you are not sure about.
After the start ups are set I like to use CCleaner, another free utility. It cleans out temporary files and lots more. Get it here, CCleaner, then use it.
I would suggest UN-installing some programs now. Your computer comes with all kinds of trial software pre-installed on it. You never use most of it, and if you do, it expires and it’s not as useful as it once was. Not to worry, you can replace Office and photo software for free too. I will show you in another article.

Re-boot the computer after you are done getting rid of useless programs.
Now we need to get rid of spy-ware and other assorted Mal-ware and virus type stuff. This will help to get rid of pop up windows and browser high jackers. These steps are worth taking. You need to get Spybot; get it here, Spybots Home page. Make sure to up-date the signatures and then run it. Follow the directions and you will be fine.

That should get rid of some of the big chunks; any way stay tuned as I will write more on the subject of keeping your computer running like new; or should I say better than new.

I’m not an expert by any standards… well maybe low ones.

Distract Yourself on the Job

While on the job, the best ways to distract yourself are usually the most damaging to your career. Bosses are funny that way, so pay attention. Always be aware of your surroundings; this being the cardinal rule.

Before you can begin to be distracted, you need to learn how to distract others. I will give a few examples.

This is an all time favorite of mine. I will name it the “changing"; it goes like this. First it’s important that you pack a lunch from home. Make sure that you include soup, tomato works best. At the first opportune moment, spill it down your shirt and pants (or what ever you happen to wearing). This is very distracting; not only for you but for your coworkers. In most cases this will result in an authorized leave of absence to change said clothes. Use this technique sparingly (once or twice a month) or else they will catch on to you.

Taking another step to the get out of work approach, I have come up with “the damn I twisted my ankle twist". This one is good for a couple of days. With this strategy in place you will not have to be the gopher.

I would share more techniques like these with you, but unfortunately; I have had to put my research on hold. This being due to the lack of a testing facility.

Blog This

I’m starting a new story. Here’s the start of it.

Every hour on the hour, thats when we would here the “Black Mold “ story played. It was on all the cable news stations. The story went mostly like this; Alert! “Black Mold Epidemic grips the Country”! Gather all paper products in your household, such as cardboard, books and loose leaf printer paper. Put these into plastic garbage bags and leave out by the trash. Authorized disposal crews will come by to dispose of the possibly contaminated materials.

Six months earlier there had been a recall on black ink. Most of the magazines and news papers had been collected at that time. We were told not to worry, we would get our news and information electronically until the problem was solved.

Alien Thought on hockey pucks

My kid come home from the skating rink with a heck of a story!
It’s not as interesting as one of my own thoughts,
but lets here it any way.
He told me that he and a friend had been the only ones there; at the ice rink around ten pm or so.

They saw what looked like a hockey puck close to the center of the skating rink; the puck appeared to be melted and embedded part way into the ice. So Anthony told me how he decide to try and chip the hockey puck out of the ice.

As Anthony and his friend made their way closer to the puck it started to glow a little bit. Anthony’s friend Maceo said that he wanted to leave at that point. Anthony thought that was a good idea too. They ran further away from the puck like object then turned and watched it.

It rose up out of the skating rink and past the lights on the tall poles. It was a bright green metallic color. The puck stoped, changed it’s color to silver, then sped away over some t
